Main Responsibilities: 

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Develop concept furniture drawings (Built-in cupboards, Kitchen, Vanity, Loose furniture, ect) elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings.
  • Work closely with interior designers and architects to understand design concepts and translate them into technical documents.
  • Assist in the development of design ideas, providing input on materials, finishes, and construction methods.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure the seamless integration of interior designs with overall building plans.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress, technical issues, and project timelines.
  • Ensure that all design documentation complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Stay updated on new regulations and standards that may impact interior design projects.
  • Research and recommend materials, products, and finishes that meet design specifications and project requirements.
  • Create and maintain a library of material samples and product specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to take precise measurements, assess existing conditions, and ensure designs are accurately implemented.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase to address any issues that arise on site.
  • Review and check all drawings and design documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of work are maintained.

Job Requirements: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related role, such as a draughtsman or junior technologist, working on interior design or architectural projects.
  • A diploma or degree in Interior Design Technology, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other design tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings and documentation.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to meet required deadlines.
