Storekeeper (Site)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the site operations team for daily activities.
  • Ensure follow-up of materials are delivered within the required timeframe to to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Prepare and update reports for all procured materials.
  • Prepare purchase orders and seek approval with concerned Head of Department for purchase.
  • Where required, liaise with Procurement department for follow-up of pending materials deliveries.
  • Liaise with Site Coordinators, Site Supervisors, Foremen to ensure proper planning of materials delivery.
  • Liaise with Factory Storekeeper for any matter related to delivery of structures related to wood, metal and aluminium to be stored on site prior to installation.
  • Ensure that delivery is prepared and ready in due time to avoid any delays.
  • Ensure that receiving are checked and stored upon reception.
  • Inventory of materials must reflect physical count to avoid any anomalies.
  • Ensure that all store transactions, documentations all fillings are properly done
  • Prepare and updated reports (excel, databases, inventory of materials, in and out records) for traceability and records purposes.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ensure that the store is always clean and tidy.
  • Any other duties related to position.

Requirements

  • HSC Holder
  • Hands on work experience as Storekeeper preferably in construction company.
  • Ability to work on a construction site and assist Operations Team where required.
  • Good knowledge of storekeeping duties and administrative formalities for proper management of store activities.
  • Good knowledge of construction materials and other amenities related to Manufacturing (Wood, Metal, Aluminium).
  • IT Proficient + ability to prepare reports/dashboards on Excel using basic formula calculation.
  • Good communication skills in English and French – verbal and written.
  • Punctual, honest, and professional in approach.
  • Possess a valid driving license.
