Site Operations Supervisor (Joinery & Fit-Out)

Duties and responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, control, and direct production activities on sites of operations.
  • Ensure proper planning of tasks – materials, equipment, manpower, transport.
  • Handle assigned deadlines, work priorities and allocate resources to meet set targets/goals.
  • Supervise site activities and take corrective actions where required. Ensure team is following instruction and work output is up to satisfactory level.
  • Provide hands on work assistance to team for better productivity & output.
  • Follow up on delivery of materials on site and keep records.
  • Daily Site reporting to Project Manager.
  • Follow up of sub-con works on site and keep Project Manager updated on work progress.
  • Cater for employee’s welfare in terms of safety and health matters, PPE, established SOPs or protocols are always followed and report any anomalies.
  • Ensure employees make proper use of equipment (tools) and machinery and properly re-arranged and safeguarded after use to avoid loss or theft. Keep records where appropriate.
  • Ensure quality standards enforced for each task with proper layout and finish.
  • Inspect with close attention to details of finished works/products and ensure same are in line with the client requirements.
  • Ensure the clients’ needs or request is appropriately dealt with and liaise with Floor Manager for any matters of concern.
  • Inform the Project Manger of any situation that is hindering progress on site.
  • To ensure that all consumables are ordered in a timely manner.
  • To have a positive and proactive mentality to help the team succeed.
  • Keep site in a clean and tidy state prior to handing over or leaving site.
  • Ensure sign off sheets are signed by the Client/Main Contractor upon task(s) completion.

Requirements

  • Hands on work experience as Site Supervisor in fit-out/joinery.
  • Good communication/written skills (Both English and French).
  • Good presentation and organizational skills.
  • MS Office knowledge (knowledge of MS Project will be a plus).
  • Team player and can collaborate with other team members efficiently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and principally security measures to be taken while operating on construction site.
  • Self-motivated and can adapt to different circumstances.
  • Must have valid driving license and must have own vehicle.
