Operations Manager

Fairstone Ltd which forms part of Evaco Group is a growing and well-known construction company. We are currently looking for an Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will be responsible of managing the site activities with a reporting to the General Manager, but will also assist the latter in coordinating, directing and planning the business’ daily operations as well as manpower.

Main responsibilities


  1. Address issues in a timely, cost effective manner
  2. Work in close collaboration with the General Manager in planning short- and long-term projects, budgets, expense controls, schedules, and manpower.
  3. Implement quality and productivity objectives to achieve company goals.

Site Activities       

  1. Coordinate and interact with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, set deadlines, and schedules.
  2. Meet regularly with project team members to identify and resolve issues; Intervene in the site’s progress meetings on a regular basis;
  3. Interact regularly with contactors’ site supervision teams to monitor the actual site progress, flag any delay/discrepancy to the agreed timeline
  4. Ensure that the objectives set by Management are properly cascaded down to the site team and adhered to by the latter.


  1. Report on a regular basis to the General Manager or any other person as designated by Management; Use dashboards to report on sites’ progression, productivity level, expenses, team & company performance or on any other topic that may prove to be useful for decision-making. This list is not exhaustive, and reporting may be required on any other items as per Management’s requirements.
  2. Ensure that the team under your responsibility provides you with the relevant reports on their respective tasks.
  3. Work in close collaboration with the General Manager to generate strategies as well as new initiatives and action plans for the Construction/Operations departments.
  4. Ensure that the strategy and the directives given by the Holding Company as well as by the Management of FairStone Ltd are implemented 


  1. Support the General Manager and the Finance Manager of FairStone Ltd & FairStone Support Services Ltd, in the elaboration of the company’s budget (both monthly and annual) and further to Management’s approval, ensure that the budget of the departments under your responsibility is respected through established work and administrative practices for an optimum follow up.
  2. Optimize costs and profits by establishing the proper controls & procedures on costs at all levels

People Management       

  1. Liaise with the HR Department on a regular basis for a proper monitoring of all employees’ related issues and relevant action taking.
  2. Identify recruitment requirements and work with the HR department for the candidates’ search and selection.
  3. Identify the training & development needs of employees and ensure that the proper actions are taken accordingly.
  4. Maintain positively the team’s job results by counselling and disciplining employees as well as monitoring and appraising them.
  5. Ensure that employees follow the company standards, policies and strategies.
  6. Fully assist the HR department in the elaboration of Key Performance Indicators for the staff under your responsibility as well as the subsequent implementation, monitoring and assessment phase.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience within the construction industry
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment
  • Ability to develop and sustain excellent relationships with clients
  • Excellent follow up skills both internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to manage large teams
