Duties and responsibilities
- Inspect and solve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues of workshop machinery and equipment.
- Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, technical drawings, and service manual to perform required maintenance.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedule and perform preventive maintenance tasks of workshop machinery and equipment.
- Ensure that all spare parts and maintenance supplies are made available for the proper functioning of the production.
- Coordinates with Operations Supervisors and Managers to plan and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Record breakdown details, update servicing cards and document material procurement related to maintenance tasks.
- Conduct periodic quality checks and maintain efficient performance of machines including 4-axis CNC, Edge bander, Panel saw, Double Mitre saw and other computer-controlled wood working machines.
- Ensure all required dashboard and reports are updated on a regular basis.
- Assist reporting Manager as and when requested for operational matters.
- Provide support to the other department as and when required within scope of duties.
- Ensure that safety gears, equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) are worn at all times.
- Liaise with Safety & Health Officer for any matter of concern/occurrences.
- Any other cognate duties related to position.
Requirements
- Diploma in Electromechanics or relevant technical field.
- Hands on work experience as Technician dealing with industrial machineries.
- Good communication skills – verbal and written in English and French
- Computer Literate.
- Work with measurement devices
- Read and understand procedures, safety sheets, instructions, and policies.
- Ability to prepare reports, dashboards for follow-up of interventions and actions.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety at work.
- Flexible and ability to work odd hours for interventions.
- Clean certificate of character.
