Compliance Manager

The duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •  Responsible for the implementation and ongoing compliance of the reporting entity’s internal programmes, controls and procedures with the requirements of the FIAMLA, FIAML Regulations 2018, United Nations (Financial Prohibitions_Arms Embargo_Travel Ban) Sanctions Act 2019 and any other AML/CFT/PF regulations and guidelines/rules as may be issued by its supervisor.
  • Assess the Company’s money laundering and terrorist financing risk exposure and develop periodic business risk assessments for consideration and approval by the Board.
  • Fulfil the compliance role within Stantons Ltd and its client entities portfolio management.
  • Ensure continued compliance with the requirements of the FIAMLA, FIAML Regulations 2018 and associated regulations & guidelines subject to the ongoing oversight of the Board of Stantons Ltd and its Senior Management.
  • Undertake day-to-day oversight of the program for combatting money laundering and terrorism financing.
  • Regular reporting, including reporting of non-compliance, to the Board.
  • Contribute to design, implement, and maintain internal compliance manuals, policies, procedures and systems for combatting money laundering and terrorism financing.
  • Conduct Independent AML/CFT Audits of client entities.
  • Be seconded to client entities as Compliance Officer and/or MLRO/DMLRO
  • Review & perform risk assessments of prospective and existing clients, update the client risk matrix and report assessment results to the client acceptance committee.
  • Provide AML/CFT training in house and to external clients.


  • At least five (5) years of relevant working experience in a similar position and meeting the competency standards of the Financial Services Commission for positions of MLRO & Compliance Officer.
  • Undergraduate degree in law, accounting, banking, financial services or such other relevant fields.
  • Certified Compliance Professional qualifications (e.g. ACCPA, ACAMS, ICA, FSI) in accordance with the FSC Competency Standards will be an advantage.
  • Good analytical skills and precision in delivery.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience relating to AML/CFT audit and compliance within sectors & professions classified as reportable under the FIAMLA will be advantageous.
  • A detailed understanding of money laundering and terrorism financing risks and its management within a business environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver effectively.
  • Results-oriented and hardworking with strong interpersonal capabilities.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in client and related matters.
  • Quick learner who can adapt to different work environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure
